Supermen

So Speed and I turn up to our drummer's house on Thursday, ready for a well deserved jamming session. I had text him earlier to remind him ...But he forgot and was miles away at home. We were totally bummed, but it was me & Speed! We could still bring it back, right?

I went back to my house, grabbed my acoustic and we headed over the the rehearsal place. We stayed the whole 3 hours layin' down some freestyle shiznit. It was great fun! We just didn't care what we sounded like, singing, shouting, guitaring, drumming, it was all great until I needed the toilet. We stopped playing and could hear loads of people outside talking so they must've heard our 'interesting' freestyling! I didn't let this ruin the mood, though. Basically, instead of going to the toilet, I added some erratic dancing to the situation! Much better!

I went to a life drawing session with the art society on Friday. I thought I'd feel really awkward and dirty at the class, but actually it was totally fine! It wasn't cheap or dirty, just interesting and really good to do some art. And there were some really nice people there!

Here's what I did:

I know they're pretty bad but I'm totally out of practice. I can't wait to get back into it over the summer! I have some cool plans brewing. Mainly a painting / short-story combo about personalities and character. And the other day Nat was all "dude, do you want to go to Blaise sometime and draw?" and I was all "hellz yeah!".

The zoo are so anal. I phoned them up the other day offering my services for volunteer work over the summer and they were all "You have to have a minimum 6 month contract" which I couldn't do 'cause it's only for the summer. How picky are they, though! I said "Didn't you hear me say 'volunteer'? I'll make coffee or something, geez. In fact I'll come down right now and make you a coffee, stay there I'll bring a flask."

Revision is getting booooring, so I decided to check out some meditation classes in Cardiff to relax me. I found this Buhddist center a 15 minute walk away, I'm going to head down there Wednesday, should be a laugh. I hope they don't make strange noises...

  1. Great sketches! I would blush too much to draw live art, so bravo to you for being adult enough for that. I'm still a bashful girl at heart!

And that's a bummer about the zoo being demanding. I don't understand why they need to be picky about that, it's only helping out with animals...
