Thorpe Park: My Everest...

No, I'm only joking, it's not really my Everest. Recently I've been loving roller coasters so much! So sit down, relax those shoulders a little and let your mind drift into mine for a few minutes...

The day was Wednesday and my brother Speed drove to my house in the evening. He was going to need to stay the night! For tomorrow, he would be driving us almost to London. Stopping at my house cut about an hour off the journey for him. Anyway, that night I gathered up my posse and we went to a pub for some food and a pub quiz! As usual I knew the answer to exactly zero questions (oooh! Apart from one!). But it didn't matter; Natalie goes to Cambridge University, darling, the second best in THE WORLD!

Me not knowing the answers to anything:

Nat knowing the answers to everything:

The next day I was up at 6:30! Got everything ready and set off to Surrey! When we got there I couldn't wait to jump on a roller coaster. And what better first ride than Colosus?! "The UK's only quadruple corkscrew".

That ride was most good. So many loops!

The park was surprisingly really quiet! We barley had to queue for anything! I went on Nemisis Inferno twice and went on the front row the second time:

Oooh, but this next one was my favorite, 0-80mph in 2.3 seconds! So much fun!

The weather was beautiful, the queues were tiny, the rides were so great and we all had a brilliant day. Roller coasters are such a great cure for hiccups!

It was great having Speed stay two nights. I took him to the amazing Blaise Castle estate and Canford park.

The drive home always seems way longer than the drive to. But I don't mind. Motorway journeys are the perfect opportunity to take a look at the sky on a beautiful day. When dad drove me home from Cardiff for Easter we got closer to a rainbow than we've ever been before. It was so clear and right next to us on the hill. It makes me want to get my paint brushes out.

ahh my posse. They're perfect.
