fun enough?

Hey! The blog's called "fun enough?", why did I call it fun enough? because I've had so much fun! I've only just started writing but I know this one's going to be huge, so take an hour off, grab a green tea, put your feet up and dive on in. I don't want you to miss a word....

First things first! Me, Vicki, Speed, Ali and Abby went to the Welsh club on Wednesday (day of last exam)! Here's a photo:

Basically wasn't the funnest night of my life as Speed got VERY drunk and I had to run around Cardiff at 1am trying to find him when he didn't know where he was! Anyway, I found him and was surprisingly angry at him (when he refused to move) but I got him home and we're both fine!

Ben and Carrie surprisingly invited me to go to the millennium stadium with them to watch Britain's Got Talent live on Friday.

It was really interesting! Simon Cowell and Ant & Dec were there! We got such great seats, we sat on the five seats on the side balcony, great view of the whole place, it was massive inside! I was annoyed though that when someone rubbish came on they beeped them out straight away; they're the interesting ones!! And I think anyone who boos anyone on stage is completely rude and disrespectful.

Saturday night was a killer. It was my house mate Julie's girlfriend's birthday, so we went around her house to surprise her. It was so funny when we flicked on the lights and shouted, she was so shocked! She loved it though. We stayed there for a bit to play drinking games, then planned to spend the night at the union nightclub.

I was up for the usual fun night without getting drunk, but drinking games and peer pressure at her house led to me drinking the stupidest drink ever:

It was all great 'till Speed took me to get pizza. Then I gradually started to feel more terrible than I ever have. I have only been properly drunk about three times in my life and this time it was so horrible. Speed had to help me do everything from standing up to opening the bathroom door. Of course Julian managed to get a sneaky shot:

I can't blame the guy though, my bathroom shot was nowhere near as good as the one I got of him last year (see here).

So naturally I spent the whole of Sunday feeling awful. I finally built up the energy to go to the coolest place in Cardiff: Bute park. Now there's a place that could cheer me up!

As soon as I got there I felt better. I had to unplug my iPod 'cause it's one of those places you need your ears for as well as your eyes, feet and other senses. The sounds are brilliant, birds, dogs, children, the river, trees and wind. It just takes me right back to when I was young and makes me feel like I did back then: not a care in the world, nothing matters and there are no deadlines. I saw kids dragging their feet and whining to their mum "how much further!?", hah, I remember that. Now I realise how much I actually enjoyed it.

That evening I spent at the girls house, watching a film and eating an Indian. It was great seeing them, I just had no energy to enjoy it! I was so annoyed with myself for getting so drunk the night before! It annoys me so much that on a night out the center of attention is alcohol. Sure, I'm up for a drink or two to loosen up, but why is everyone obsessed with it!? It's pathetic. I'm much better than liquid, so are you, so take more notice of people instead of drink ffs.

Yesterday evening I jammed with my band. The new singer came along! And he was actually pretty dam good! Really pleased, I love jamming so much :-)

You all know I'm seeing Circa Survive and Coheed & Cambria play tomorrow don't you? Well today as I walked past the union I saw all of their tour buses. That's right, parked at the end of my road. I can see them from my front door! A 30 second walk! They had slept at the end of my road last night! Can you remember the magical day I met Anthony Green? (see here). Well a few hours ago, as I waited outside the union to meet the art society, guess who walks past me! Yep, Anthony Green! Of course I stopped him and we had another brilliant chat! He's such a nice guy, meeting him again meant the world to me! I couldn't wipe the smile off my face! To think that they're at the end of my road right now! I can't wait to see them tomorrow!

Anyway, I met up with the art society and went to the mosaic class. It was so awkward when I realised I was the only male there! But they were all so nice to me, so much nicer than the rock climbers! Making mosaics was pretty cool, but so hard on my hands! (It was clay, btw Mel!). I made a paint pallet / brushes and on the way home one of the girls was all "I thought your butterfly was really cool!". Oh great... I said "thanks", of course! :-P

I think that brings you up to date! Sorry I couldn't go into much detail, loads of funny stories have happened along the way! I'll try to squeeze them in another blog! Speak soon!

  1. Question:
What does eating an Indian mean?
    Comments:
    Coheed your so flipping lucky.
Staying at the end of your street- even luckier, I’m completely unable to approach people I think are uber cool (Ellen Page) sat in front of me at the premier of her film at a film festival and I couldn’t even say anything- oh movie recommendation JUNO.
Mosaic society huh, all girls huh… you should take advantage of that… if you get my drift.
    Nice bathroom pic
