OMG - Deal or No Deal

Hey!

Yesterday, I went to Bristol to see Deal or No Deal being filmed! I signed some legal stuff so I can't tell anyone, but obviously I'm going to tell my own blog! You can't even talk! I'm pretty sure the deed didn't say "oh, and don't tell Rich's blog" anywhere on it, god. The story goes like this:

We left here at about 10am, four of us walked to the train station, there were nine of us in total. Got the train, got a taxi, got to the studio. They were filming a Halloween special, so the set was all nice and Halloweeny. We filmed two episodes and they're getting aired on the 1st and 2nd of November. Don't forget. But I'll probably remind you.

Basically, because it was Halloween, we had to do way more hanging around while they got the set ready. The first contestant had some kind of dwarfism and was in a wheelchair so they put in a little ramp and everything! Cool! He was alright, I didn't mind him too much. Bit annoying. Went away with about four grand in the end.

But the second woman!!!: different story. She was soooo annoying. She was all like "oooh, that box is jumping out at me, I can't decide which to choose, ooh" and I'm just like "it's random..." (in my head). After aaages deciding, she'd finally pick her goldfish's birthday or something, and surprise surprise, it would be a shit box. Then she'd do it all again. IT'S RANDOM YOU IDIOT! Honestly, these people were actually deluded. Thinking boxes were "jumping out at them". It was shit the last time, why do you keep believing it! If I ever go on that show I'll be all like "yeah Noel, I want box 1, 2, 3...".

One other annoying thing: whenever a contestant got something bad, all the audience would be like "aww....", then, without fail, some looser would shout out something like "ooh! You still have the 10 thousand! That's a lot!" then the audience would be applauding like they all won the lottery. And I had to do the same! I had to be happy because I was on camera! My favorite was when the guy basically lost the game, someone shouts "ooh!! But you're still an amazing person!!!" audience: "YEAHH!! WOO!! *clap* *clap*"... shut up

I'm sorry for being such a negative Nancy. I did have a great day!! Just the contestants annoyed me! It was great to see how it was all done behind the scenes. They had some amazing camera guy wearing some body harness for the camera. He looked like inspector gadget!

We finally got home at about 10pm, such a long day! Plus our train was delayed. I slept so well last night after that!

Today I've been packing everything ready to go home :-( It looks so different here now! Everything is off the notice boards, all our little signs are down, it looks bare! I'm sad to leave this place.

In other news: I FINALLY went to Bute park with my friend Abby and her friend Mira. It was AMAZING!! I remember missing Blaze woods while I've been here, but Bute park is so much better! It's huge, sunny, has loads of fields and trees and a massive river! Such a pretty place, we walked for hours in the sun. What a nice day :-)

The weather's been great here. Wednesday I was sitting out in the sun with a bowl of strawberries, reading my geeky book. Good times. Tomorrow is the big night out! Everyone's coming back for it! Can't wait! It'll be sad to say goodbye, but we'll be back in a few months! OMG, how upset will I be when we say goodbye for good! I can't imagine!!

  1. The "It doesn't matter because you're such a great guy" thing was exactly like a scene from South Park!
