Rich's Life: Next Chapter...

ok, ok... ok.... okay, ok

So I'm finally here! I'm in Cardiff man!! University! My life is going upside down, completely!

We left Wednesday, my mum, dad and I; and I was fine!! Not ill, nervous, scared or anything!! I was so worried we wouldn't fit everything in the car but somehow we managed!!

Completely full to the brim! I had to have my monitor on my lap! To be fair, I did bring two guitars, a cupboard, a computer etc, etc.

My room looked pretty bare afterwards....

...but somehow, just as messy!

When we arrived, I got my key, opened the flat. I was the first in!

It looked a bit... prison-esque...

Especially the kitchen / bathroom...

But actually, my room looked pretty nice!! Bigger that I expected! I've finally, sort of tidied it! and now it looks like this:


It feels like home now!! Only trouble is that blind on the left! I'm on the ground floor and people look in the window as they go past! And!!! When i close it, there's still a big gap down the side, so I'm always worried when I get changed!!

I managed to lock myself out as soon as I got here which wasn't fun! But they were fine about it. After a few hours of moving in, Jake moved in. He seemed great! Came straight in, shook my hand and introduced himself! And I was right, he is nice. We spent the evening at the union with some other mates and it was good. I felt pretty homesick, but I stopped myself thinking about it and tried to enjoy myself! It was hard! But the union was so friendly! People were actually coming up to me and chatting!! wow! It's always bad when you get home and find a card from mum! But I kept myself together!

The next day Alister and Deji joined us. They both seemed nice too, completely the opposite people though, Deji is a big rugby player from London and Alister is a physics guy. Jake's a rugby player too! There's loads of them here! We spent that evening with lots more people, down town. We started at the union bar, then went to an empty (but cheap) cheesy club. Then went to walkabout, which was over crowded, over load, over hot and rubbish! But the rugby boys loved it!

Yesterday, the final member joined us! Julian! He's a chemistry man, and he seems to know quite a lot about computers / technology. He seems pretty similar to me! Nice guy! We spent the day knocking on EVERYONES doors! It was so fun! Just chatting to random people. My flat started it, and it turned into a massive group of us! We got some weirdos sometimes though, like the French rugby player! Weirdo! Anyway, we spent the night at the union again, (after a rubbish pub crawl - pointless!) But the union was great! I was chatting to everyone! The were so many people at the club there that we had met in the day so we made some great friends!

So I've been out every night until about 2-3 in the morning! It's been crazy so far, and I could never write everything down here in the blog! It's all so much to take in! I'm so busy meeting people and making friend's right now!! But more stories will unfold soon I promise! So many people I've met! and love! And it's so weird. I keep getting a feeling that the people are familiar, like I kind of knew that I was going to meet them... But I'm probably people stupid
