LoL

Hey blog

Yesterday, Natalie and I went to see Taking Back Sunday. It was fab! It started really early though, 6 o'clock, so we got there late to catch Hellogoodbye's last song. After them it was Eisley who were really good!!....... live! But when I got home, their recorded stuff wasn't so good, how disapointing!

Anyway, TBS were brill AND more to the point, Natalie and I met Adam!! (the singer!) I know! He was stood where the photographer stands whilst the Academy was being changed into ramshackle so we just went over and said hi. He seemed very slow and spaced out concidering to how energetic he was on stage, but he probably gets pissed off with it. When we went outside there was a massive crowed of people waiting at the doors for him!

So now I've met Buddy (from SF) twice, Dave Miller, the singer from Moneen and Adam from TBS! excellent!

Anyway, whilst we watched the gig, Phil was at the pub next door on his own cause we planned to go to Rammers after. I told him not to get drunk, but guess what... Well, it was 4 hours! He was pretty merry. He ran back in to give some girls his number when we left (we didn't stay for rammers in the end). I think he made quite a few friends in there! I couldn't do that on my own! Phil gets along with the 'average' everyday person. I'm not saying everybody, but the majority. Now Zak, he gets on very well with the minority, but not as many people as Phil could.

Anyway, we took him to Miss Millies and sat in the car in the dark on the downs to eat it. Phil was almost sick but he made it!

Omg, but can I just tell you what happened today! Natalie and I went down town to get Jess a pressie, which we did, BUT then I picked up a leafet telling me that there was a massive sale on at this place, i.e. PSP's for £60, video I-pods for £20 (which was ironic becuase I had just joked to Joe that I'd look into the prices of them for his birthday). We went there, at the front of the queue to get in when it opened at 2 (and the doors would close 10 minutes after). It was wierd! There was no sign on the shop, nothing at all, just a security guy (who claimed to know nothing but assured us we could return the goods if we needed to) and loads of sale signs. The queue was massive and loads of weird men kept going in and out of the building. When the doors would open it just looked like an empty room with some boxes at the back. It opened and everyone piled in, wall to wall, stood there staring at a man in a suit, stood behind the boxes. He had a microphone headset, the salesman type, and he started working his magic as soon as we got in! Of course, nothing was sold, it was all bullshit, as I expected. He was just blabbering on about anything for ages, gaining our trust. He got to Nat I'm afraid. He told everyone to get out their wallets and get a five pound note and wave it in the air and they'd exchange it for a chip.

Who in their right mind would do that! Nat you twat! I can't believe she did that. She desparately waved it and got her chip, as did pretty much everyone in the room. God knows why! The salesman was just one of those people who managed to do it, gained their trust by showing off a few amazing items and talking small figures and giving out free gifts and telling a few jokes. Throw them a fish and watch them clap their fins. Anyway, I didn't part with a penny. Once Nat got her chip we felt obliged to stay. Which was bad because she had to be home for 3. He blabbered on for another half hour when we finally gave up, five pounds down.

He'd do this thing where he's sell a pile of goods for a stupid prise, then pretend to give them to the buyer before taking them away again for wrapping. I don't know what would have happened if we had stayed longer. Very dodgy. And I still haven't found a pressie for Joe. I certainly won't be getting him a video I-pod!

If something looks too good to be true, it probably is. Remember that next time somethings got "dodgy" written all over it.
