Hey blog.
I've been trying to get some work for the summer... well, I say trying, just sitting here wishing really. And as bloody usual everything works out perfectly for me (jokies). But it did. I got an email from uni about a Bristol company wanting a placement year student. I emailed them saying I want summer work and I got an interview! This place is only like 5 minutes away in a car!
The interview was Monday. And surprisingly, I didn't s**t too much of a brick! I thought I'd be all nervous, but I wasn't. I think interviews are easier when you actually want to work there. i.e. when I had my children's shoes interview I was nervous because I knew I couldn't fit a shoe for shit, but at Monday's interview I (hopefully) knew I'd be good there.
It's a programming job, Java, my favourite. The MD interviewing me was early 30's I'd say. Shorts, tee shirt and bare foot. The whole place was shorts & tee. I think he liked me cause he asked me to do a programming test there and then. It was easy. and I got the job!! Wooooooo. 6bone an hour, ahh well, it'll look great on my CV. It was embarrassing when he told me he went on http://sat2000.sf.net oh dear, why did I tell them!?
Tomorrow I'm off to visit Nat at Cambridge University, darling. So yep, I'll be staying in an all girls hall of residence! And a garden party (oh course!) in the afternoon. Virgin trains the bastards, lost my tickets I bought! I phoned them, couldn't really understand them, and she was just a dick, so I bought some more at the higher price and I'll complain to Branson next week.
Tonight, my family and I will be dining with my good friend Phil. I'm going to make my signature lasagne.
Bunny is finally exploring the entire garden now, running around like a little gypsy. Here's some piccys if you don't believe me:
Speak to you soon, yeah?

Ooh congrats on getting the job! I'm desperately job hunting at the moment, to not much avail. I've gotten my first interview, though - at Lancaster's Marks & Spencers. Trust the not to have any vacancies in the Preston branch. It's also a 25 minute bus ride to the train station, 15 minutes on the train to Lancaster, then another 10 minute bus ride to get there (not to mention the reverse on the way back). But, it's full time, and it's a job.
